Default Hilarious Anti-Attacker Build

I tried this out in RA the other day after capping Soul Bind w/ my necro, it was really funny

Inspiration (10+4)
Curses (12)
Rest in Fast Casting (i forget)

Soul Bind (e)
Wastrel's Worry
Shadow of Fear
Inspired Hex
Energy Tap
Ether Feast/Enfeeble
Drain Enchantment
Resurection Signet

See that warrior coming for you? Put soul bind on him, then SoF, then hit WW while he's swinging...hes on the ground! And do it again! And again!

Hex, tap, and Drain are for the intense energy costs of this build, as spamming WW isnt exactly healthy on your energy (as well as maintaining Soul Bind)

I didn't put any points in domination because i figured even with 60 damage every WW, this wasn't going to faze those warriors/assasins/rangers much at all

This build can't really take on multiple attackers (i used to use spirit shackles, but kept running out of energy), besides putting SoF on them

I'm not sure if its worth it, but it's certainly fun to see that assasin fall down over and over...you'd figure they'd stop attacking, but nope XD

Drain enchantment might be difficult to use unless the warrior/assassin/ranger uses enchantments.
Use of energy tap and inspired hex will let them get a few attacks in whilist you regain your energy.

(it will be 9 in fast casting)

Ive been running a illusion based build for alliance battles, it seems to work a treat. Well, it does for me, and brings me great joy to see melee fighters turn and flee

Illusion 16
Inspiration 10
Fast Cast 10
(I think that is proper point distribution, am posting this at work so cant be sure)

distortion
phantom pain
images of remorse
phantasm
clumsiness
spirit of failure
drain enchant
energy drain (e)

these skills can provide a combination of a few positives= images/clumsiness not bad dmg spike for melee attacker

spirit of failure = set and forget form of protection and minor energy boost, throw phantom on also, even if stripped results in deep wound

drain enchant makes it fun to watch assassins with shadow refuge lose it and beat a hasty retreat

plus for the most part the degen is fairly spammable, so you can switch to a monk, throw a few on them and make them change focus from healing/protecting their frontline attackers

energy drain is good mainly because its less likely to be interrupted

distortion speaks for itself

Now, from what I've been reading, there are a few guys in here with some extremely good mesmer knowledge. You will probably read this and pick it apart quite easily, thats cool. Constructive criticism is more than welcome.
Bear in mind this build isnt designed to be absolute. Its purely for alliance battles, can 1 on 1 a melee fighter with ease, and bother monks and others with recurrent degen to make them shift their casting focus. Not a great deal of micromanagement but 12 v 12 doesnt really support that style I wouldn't think.

@ Brother Redmund;Thread stealing is bad.
Wastrel's worry works best with interrupts imo; looks like a fun build but doubt it will make it to high end pvp.

I wasn't too impressed with Soul Bind. I did it with Fainheartedness. It's alright, fun for sure; as much fun as Psychic Instability and Wailing Weapon was, but just that- fun, not necessarily very productive. Atltho, it does feel good to KD Warriors and piss em off, doesn't it? Fun build- that's all.

Hmmm... wasnt my intention to thread steal. Thought it was a discussion on anti attacker build. Either way, apologies to OP, never intended to hijack :S
